No vignetting in any mode below water using the ultra-low profile URPRO color-correction filters (CY, GR, and SWCY) available from SRP. There is vignetting in 960p WIDE video mode and photo mode above water with these filters, although they are intended for below water use only. The magnification factor under water removes the vignetting underwater in all modes.

For above water use, the ultra-low profile Marumi CPL, ND4, and ND8 filters offered by SRP will have mechanical vignetting in 960p WIDE video mode and photo mode. Depending on the camera there is little or no vignetting in the WIDE WVGA, 720p, 1080p, and 1440p modes.
Off-the-shelf 55 mm filters have not been tested by SRP, however, due to their high profile we anticipate that these filters vignette in all modes.
We have testing the BlurFix3 SO on a variety of GoPro(R) Hero3 White, Silver, and Black cameras. The above observations were made using this small sample lot of cameras and Snake River Prototyping will make changes to our vignetting guidance, if necessary, after further testing and customer feedback.

Please Note: With this plastic filter you may experience microbubbles on the inside of the filter. To prevent this, remove the filter immediately after entering the water, wipe or shake off the bubbles, and slip the filter back on. See illustration below.

- The URPRO Cyan (CY) filter is ideally suited for tropical blue salt water or clear fresh water at depths of 12 ft to 50 ft. This filter is the filter we recommend for divers traveling to a tropical island for vacation (i.e. Belize, Cozumel, Caribbean, Maldives, Bora Bora, etc.)

- The URPRO Green (GR) filter is ideal for fresh or salt water that is green in appearance due to a high abundance of algae in the water. The coastal waters of California are an excellent candidate for the GR filter.

Use this ND4X filter outdoors and above water for reducing light volume. Photo/Digital & Video Filter. Exposure 4.0. This filter, without changing subject's light characteristics, reduces light volume. ND4X cuts 75% (2 stops) of light volume. Good for sensitivity adjustment of high sensitivity film or for less depth and slow shutter effect. This filter is custom modified by SRP to limit vignetting.

Use this ND8 filter outdoors and above water for light volume adjustment. With "anti-reflecting" coating on the lens' surface and "black-ink processing" on the lens' outer rim, the filter maximizes the lens' performance, avoiding inner reflection. The ultra-thin frame design, and SRP custom modification, assists in avoiding the vignetting phenomenon for super wide angle lenses.With almost no influence to colors, and with 3 stage change of aperture and shutter-speed, the fitler creates "streaming effect," while avoiding white spots caused by over exposure.
